Samantha and John’s University of Michigan summer engagement session reminded me of how much I love hearing every couple’s love story and all the unique things that make their love one of a kind!
Samantha and John have been sweethearts since their early days at Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School. After graduation, John knew he wanted to attend the University of Michigan. Sam had her fair share of options, but ultimately chose to attend Michigan too, and their love story continued to blossom during their four years in Ann Arbor.
After graduation, they each pursued careers in their chosen fields. Their relationship continued to grow stronger as they experienced the post-college years together. When John proposed to Samantha on Christmas day of 2020, he received a giant YES! After all this time together, the two of them knew they were ready to commit to forever.
The beauty of the University of Michigan’s architecture and the role that it played in Samantha and John’s love story made it the perfect location for their summer engagement session. I loved exploring the campus with such experienced guides! Hearing them reminisce about their college days together at the University of Michigan reminded me so much of my own love story and the hardships that Paul and I endured over our years together in high school and college.
I’m so excited to photograph Samantha and John’s wedding day next September at MacRay Harbor and see the two of them become husband and wife!
