After receiving my Bachelor's of Science in Accounting and my Masters of Science in Taxation, I spent three tax seasons at a top ten public accounting firm in Chicago. Although I loved my colleagues and the work I was doing, I knew deep down that I ultimately wanted to run my own business and pursue my passion as a wedding photographer.

the process
Step 1: Pick A topic & Book your Session
After booking your session, please fill out my contact form and tell me more about yourself and what areas of your business you need help with. Popular mentoring topics include:

Understanding business & sales taxes and how they apply to you

Step 2: Introduction Call
After receiving your contact form and booking, I'll give you a call so that we can get to know each other and confirm session details. Typically the pre-consultation call lasts about 15 minutes. After our call, I will send over an engagement letter for your review and signature, which will outline the scope of services to be provided.
Step 3: PRE-SESSION QUESTIONNAIRE
Before our meetup, I'll send you a questionnaire with specific questions about various areas of your business. After you return the questionnaire, I'll spend time reviewing your answers and putting together my notes for our session. By putting a little work in beforehand, we can ensure our time together is spent efficiently!
STEP 4: ATTEND THE MENTORING SESSION
Our two hour session will take place either virtually over Facetime/Zoom, or at a public location in the Holly/Fenton area. During our meeting, I'll answer all of your questions and be happy to show you the exact business tools and accounting workflows that I use myself. By the end of our mentorship session, you'll feel empowered and know the next steps you need to take in your business!

I want to equip you with the knowledge to prepare your own taxes and run your own business like an accountant would, instead of relying on me to do it for you.
