Gabby and Joey’s emerald green wedding at the Lafayette Grande in Pontiac was a day to remember!
The morning started off with the women’s hair and makeup artist coming to Gabby’s childhood home. The girls got ready over coffee and quiche before heading to Mount Zion Church in Clarkston for the finishing touches. After the women donned their gorgeous green bridesmaid dresses, it was time to help Gabby into her wedding gown! The images of Gabby putting on her dress are some of my absolute favorite from the day.
Meanwhile, in a separate area of the church, the men were preparing for the ceremony and pinning on their boutonnieres. With a little help from Joey’s mom and his adorable ring bearer, he was ready to go! After a joyful and intentional Christian ceremony, Gabby and Joey were officially husband and wife!
Immediately after the ceremony, we traveled from the church to the couple’s venue, The Lafayette Grande, in downtown Pontiac. The last time I photographed a wedding at The Lafayette Grand, it was raining. As a result, I was ecstatic that we could utilize the gorgeous entryway and architecture of the building for their group portraits!
The historic nature of The Lafayette Grand requires little to no decor. However, Gabby and Joey went above and beyond for the dessert and welcome tables! They chose green linens and fresh white florals to complement the venue’s sky blue ceiling and glass chandeliers. In addition to a beautiful and classic white wedding cake, they also had Yates Cider Mill donuts, which were a huge hit with their guests!
Gabby and Joey, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your wedding day! You two are such sweet souls, and I wish you an amazing marriage in the years to come!
