When Brian and Mallory reached out to me about the possibility of photographing their intimate spring wedding at the Holly Hotel in downtown historic Holly, I was ecstatic!
While COVID has been an incredibly difficult time for us all, one positive to come out of the pandemic is that intimate weddings (also known as micro weddings!) have become much more commonplace. From the start, Brian and Mallory shared with me that they wanted a stress-free experience and a wedding day that allowed them plenty of time to visit with each of their guests.
The Holly Hotel is located on the quaint and historic street named Battle Alley of downtown Holly. The string lights, colorful storefronts, and leading lines of the alley provide an amazing backdrop for portraits. As soon as Mallory and Brian booked me for their wedding, I knew we’d be using Battle Alley for their wedding portraits!
After having her hair and makeup completed offsite, Mallory put on her dress on the second floor of the hotel. Meanwhile, Brian’s mom and his best man helped him with his tie and boutonniere. After the two of them were ready, they shared a private first look on the steps of the Holly Hotel. While their guests were being seated, the rain cleared just in time for a few minutes of beautiful portraits in Battle Alley! After sharing their vows, the couple cut the cake and enjoyed a three-course meal with their closest family and friends.
Brian and Mallory, thank you for trusting me with your wedding day! I hope that you love these photos and cherish them for years to come!
